News director of BeritaSatu Media Holdings, Primus Dorimulu, who also moderated the discussion, asked whether BRI’s total credit could exceed IDR 1,000 trillion?.

“I remember wanting our assets to [penetrate] Rp1,000 trillion. At that time, assets of Rp. 1,003 trillion were [achieved] in December 2016. And now it is possible to penetrate credit to Rp. 1,000 trillion. We will try it with a rational analysis, “explained Sunarso when answering the question.

He conveyed BRI credit up to the end of last year amounting to IDR 880 trillion. This means that an additional credit of Rp120 trillion is needed in order to reach Rp1,000 trillion.

So, this year BRI gets the task of distributing KUR amounting to Rp152 trillion. With the KUR ceiling being reached and after deducting repayment, it can contribute IDR 50 trillion to this year’s total credit.

Meanwhile, the rest will be supported by other business models that are currently being developed, as well as the growing corporate segment. With this calculation, Sunarso said that there is still a chance that the total credit will reach Rp1,000 trillion, even with extraordinary efforts.

“A good target is a challenge. 50% achieved, 50% did not reach. Meanwhile, we will distribute KUR of IDR 152 trillion. KUR alone can contribute IDR 50 trillion from the total ceiling of IDR 152 trillion, but there are other segments that can be encouraged. Then the chances are achieveable with extraordinary effort, ”he added. (Ade)
