KNews.id- A video is circulating online amid the Russia-Ukraine war. The video features a face with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and asks Ukrainians to “put down” weapons in Russia.

“My advice to you is to lay down your arms and return to your families. There is no point in dying in this war. My advice to you is to live. I will do the same,” he said.Even so, the video turned out to be fake. British media Sky News verified it and called it a deepfake. Deepfake is a technology that manipulates objects visually and audio. It is a technique for synthesizing human images using artificial intelligence.

“Zelensky’s head is too big for the body that has been digitally attached… An interpreter working for Sky News also said that the sound in the video was deeper and slower than Mr Zelensky’s normal voice,” the media wrote.

Russia has been attacking Ukraine since February 24. The war has been going on for 22 days, but Russia has not yet been able to paralyze the capital city of Kyiv. From Ukrainian data, 1700 people have been to Texas while another 3 million have been displaced. Recently, Russia was reported by the Japanese Ministry of Defense (Kemhan) to send warships to bring new military forces to Ukraine. (AHM)
