KNews.id- Professor of Political Science at the Defense University, Prof. Salim Said, revealed that until now the public still considers President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) to protect the PKI. Many also accused the Seventh President of the Republic of Indonesia of being PKI descendants.
According to Salim, the accusation was because Jokowi was brought up by the PDIP. In PDIP, he said, there was a cadre who wrote the book I'm Proud to be a Child of the PKI and many PKI communists in the party bearing the bull's head symbol.
Therefore people then connected Jokowi by calling him protecting the PKI. The accusation is also connected with the Pancasila Ideology Policy Bill (HIP).
Prof. Salim considered the accusation to be very detrimental to Jokowi. As a political observer as well as a social scientist, the former Indonesian Ambassador to the Czech Republic has been concerned about Jokowi's connection with the PKI.
“I don't really believe Jokowi is a communist. He is in a difficult position because it is the PDIP who supports him, ”he said in the Hersubeno channel on YouTube.
Furthermore, Prof. Salim said, PDIP continued Bung Karno's ideology of nationalism, religion and communism (Nasakom). Bung Karno, he said, until the end of his life had never condemned the PKI or left Nasakom.
"In my opinion, the Nasakom ideology seems to be defended by PDIP," he said.
That is why, said Salim, PDIP was not bothered by Ribka Tjiptaning's statement claiming to be proud of being a PKI child. Because, Ribka's confession did not contradict Bung Karno's ideology.
Salim emphasized that Bung Karno had never disbanded Nasakom. Meanwhile, Megawati Soekarnoputri, who is also Bung Karno's daughter, is now leading the PDIP, the party that is Jokowi's main bearer.
"One of the victims is Jokowi, but he can't do anything because our politics are managed in congregation by oligarchs," he said.
Therefore, Prof. Salim assesses that Jokowi's current capital is only a signature. Any decision will not work without Jokowi's signature.

Salim also said that Jokowi could become president because he met a number of oligarchs with interests. When Jokowi became president, the oligarchic groups asked for it.
