Relations Restored, Saudi Arabian Ready to Launch Investment in Iran!

On Friday (10/3) last week, Iran and Saudi Arabia announced the restoration of diplomatic relations between the two countries. The agreement was reached after representatives of Tehran and Riyadh held talks in Beijing, China. The Bamboo Curtain country acts as a mediator in the process.

Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan said rapprochement with Iran underscored the commitment of the two countries to resolve differences through dialogue. “(The rapprochement agreement) serves as proof of our mutual desire to resolve (differences) through communication and dialogue, through peaceful means and diplomatic instruments,” Prince Faisal said in an interview with Al-Sharq Al-Awsat newspaper, reported the Al Arabiya website. , Monday (13/3).

He revealed that Iran and Saudi Arabia are neighboring countries that have many common threads such as religion, culture and history. Regarding the newly achieved rapprochement, Prince Faisal hopes to meet Iran’s foreign minister soon. “We are preparing to resume diplomatic relations between our countries in the next two months, and it is only natural that we exchange visits in the future,” he said.

“We in the (Saudi) Kingdom hope to open a new chapter with Iran and enhance the prospects for cooperation in a way that has a positive impact on strengthening security and stability, as well as progress of development and prosperity, not only in our two countries, but in the region as a whole,” he said. Prince Faisal added.
