Government Ordered Wuhan Doctors to Lie About COVID-19

KNews.id- Doctors in Wuhan have been recorded secretly admitting they knew how serious the new coronavirus was at the start of the outbreak, but they were ordered by the Chinese authorities to lie. The SARS-CoV-2 corona virus that causes COVID-19 is still endemic throughout the world, with the United States being the worst.

The damning testimony — which adds to growing evidence that the Chinese Communist Party deliberately misled the global community in the early stages of the pandemic — is featured in a new documentary by   British  broadcaster ITV  entitled; “Outbreak: The Virus That Shook The World “.

China notified the World Health Organization (WHO) of its first 27 cases of COVID-19 as of December 31, 2019, but did not report any deaths until mid-January – and even then insisted there was no evidence of human-to-human transmission.

But senior medical professionals in Wuhan, who was filmed by a citizen journalist, said they had known about the deaths since December and it was clear that the virus was spreading between people.

“We all feel there should be no doubt about human-to-human transmission,” said a doctor in the recording, which was broadcast by  ITV  on Tuesday (19/1/2021) evening UK time.

Another doctor said; “We know the virus is human-to-human, but when we attended meetings at the hospital we were told not to speak up. The provincial government leader told the hospital not to tell the truth. “

The doctors claim that the authorities know the January Lunar New Year celebrations will accelerate the spread of the virus but let them continue to “bring about a harmonious and prosperous society”.

“They shouldn’t allow any meetings,” said one doctor. “Provincial and local governments know the threat but they continue to allow the crowds.”

WHO tweeted on January 14 about the virus; “Initial investigations carried out by the Chinese authorities found no clear evidence of human-to-human transmission.” By the time the WHO released its first situation report on January 21, at least 278 people in China were infected and the virus had spread to three other countries.

Taiwanese experts interviewed by the television program supported the testimony of the Wuhan doctors. Dr Yin-Ching Chuang of the country’s Infectious Diseases Prevention and Treatment Network said his team was struggling to come up with a clear answer on whether human-to-human transmission had occurred.

After they were given permission to travel to China, the truth was finally revealed in a meeting.Dr Yin-Ching Chuang of the country’s Infectious Diseases Prevention and Treatment Network said his team was struggling to come up with a clear answer on what transmission is. from human to human has happened. After they were given permission to travel to China, the truth was finally revealed in a meeting.

“We asked a lot of questions, very reluctantly they finally came out and said limited human-to-human transmission couldn’t be ruled out,” he said.

“What is the scale of the infection? How big is this epidemic? How many patients are affected? We don’t know. Only they know this. Why didn’t China notify other countries about this human-to-human problem earlier? “

Reacting to the leaked new information on Wednesday, Australian Senator Matt Canavan accused Beijing of “something to hide” and said it attested to Prime Minister Scott Morrison’s Government call for transparency.

“That’s why the federal government has always been consistent in calling for a proper and transparent investigation (into the origins of COVID-19),” he told Today.

“The question has to be asked — if China has nothing to hide here, why are they going so far as to hide something?”

It happened as a WHO expert team prepared to begin its investigation into the origins of the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus. Western governments, including the United States, believe the agency has largely handed over control of the investigation to China, leading to concerns over cover.

Separately, the WHO-backed expert panel – formed last July after countries including Australia demanded an independent investigation – on Monday criticized China and the WHO.

The panel report said; “It is clear (that) public health measures could be implemented more decisively by local and national health authorities in China last January and that there are potential early signs of being followed up sooner”.

The Donald Trump administration has spent its final days stepping up attacks on China over the COVID-19 pandemic, with Secretary of State Mike Pompeo claiming over the weekend that US intelligence agencies have evidence that the virus escaped a laboratory in Wuhan.

China has fiercely rejected the allegations, with the state-run Global Times newspaper denouncing Pompeo as a “lunatic”. The long-held theory is that the virus originated in bats and jumped on to humans in a controversial “wet market” that sells and slaughter exotic animals in disgusting conditions.

China, meanwhile, has begun pushing the theory that the virus originated abroad and may have arrived in Wuhan via imported frozen food products from Europe, South America or even Australia. (Ikh)
