Finally, Saudi Arabia Ended Ban on Entry

KNews.id- Saudi Arabia has begun to loosen its policy of prohibiting entry to the country which has been going on for the last two weeks. On Sunday (3/1), the Saudi Arabian News Agency as quoted by  Reuters  reported that the ban on entry to Saudi Arabia by land, air and sea was lifted from today.

However, a Saudi Interior Ministry official said the country would still impose some restrictions. One of them is asking people arriving from countries where the new variant of the coronavirus is spreading, such as the UK, South Africa and others, to quarantine for at least 14 days before entering Saudi Arabia.

As is known, Saudi Arabia has imposed a ban on entry to the Kingdom since mid-December. This was done as a precaution against the spread of the new variant of the corona virus that has entered a number of countries. On Saturday (2/1), Saudi Arabia reported 101 cases of Covid-19.

This will be the lowest daily case additions in nine months. With this addition, the total Covid-19 cases in Saudi Arabia reached 3662,979. The last time Saudi Arabia saw the lowest daily record was on March 29, 2020. At that time, daily infections were recorded in 99 cases. (AHM)
