One of the things that was uncovered by the 75-year-old was the secret of the involvement of the United States Central Intelligence Agency (CIA).
Through VIVA Military’s observation in a video uploaded by a senior journalist, Karni Ilyas, on his official Youtube account, Hendropriyono revealed that the United States (US) Congress had exposed the failure of CIA operations in the international community.
In his statement, Hendropriyono said that the 6th President of the Republic of Indonesia (RI), Megawati Soekarnoputri, was a witness to the disclosure of the secret document. This 1967 Military Academy graduate said that Megawati, who was still the General Chair of the Indonesian Democratic Party (PDI), was invited directly by the US Congress to Washington.
At that time, the US Congress called Hendropriyono to reveal all the secrets of the CIA that had passed 30 years. As it turned out, there were two major failures of the CIA in its international operations. The first CIA failure was in the Bay of Pigs Invasion, April 17-19, 1961. Then the second was the September 30, 1965 Movement event, known as the G30S / PKI incident.
“In 1995, Megawati’s mother was invited by the American Congress. There all intelligence secrets that have passed 30 years are revealed. Presented by the American Congress, that there were two failures of CIA operations in international. One, the Bay of Pigs incident in Cuba, Havana. The second is the events of the G30S, it opened. The incident which was orchestrated by the Indonesian Communist Party (PKI), according to Hendropriyono, could not be separated from the involvement of the CIA. The issue of the “Council of Generals” which in the end killed six high-ranking officers (Pati) and one First Officer (Pama) of the Indonesian Army, was the work of the CIA.
The former Commander of the Jayakarta / Jaya Regional Military Command (Pangdam) also said that the US’s real desire was not to overthrow Ir. Soekarno as the first President of the Republic of Indonesia. However, the operation was carried out to finish off the PKI whose ideology was communist.
It should be noted that at that time the US, which had a liberal capitalist orientation, was involved in the Cold War with the Soviet Union, which had a communist ideology. Therefore, the CIA also operates in Indonesia to eliminate this ideology.
