KNews,id- Polish President Andrzej Duda said Russia’s use of chemical weapons in Ukraine would be a “game changer” and a “red line” for NATO. He said this in an interview with the BBC and reported by CNBC International, Sunday (13/3).
“If he (Russia) uses weapons of mass destruction then this will be a “game changer” in all aspects,” he said.
He added that NATO had to “think seriously what to do because it’s getting dangerous.
“Russian President Vladimir Putin is seen as an increasingly unpredictable leader in the context of the war with Ukraine. As Russia faces fierce resistance, it is feared that Putin could use unconventional and prohibited weapons.
NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg warned that Russia could use chemical weapons in support of an attack on Ukraine. This was conveyed by Stoltenberg in an interview with Welt am Sonntag and reported by Reuters on Sunday (13/3).
According to him, such attacks constitute war crimes. However, Russia will create an initial justification for using chemical weapons.
“In the last few days, we’ve been hearing absurd claims about chemical and biological weapons,” Stoltenberg said.He added that the Kremlin is creating false pretexts to justify something that cannot be justified. (AHM)
