KNews.id- As a form of corporate social responsibility towards society and the environment, PT Asuransi Kredit Indonesia or Askrindo continues to increase its concern for the environment. Thanks to its concern, Askrindo received an award from the Indonesia Green Awards 2022 from The La Tofi School of CSR in the category of Nature Conservation Tourism Development and Biodiversity Development.
Priyastomo, Askrindo’s President Director said that receiving these two awards will further complement Askrindo’s achievements in Environmental Social Responsibility (TJSL) in accordance with the direction of the Ministry of SOEs to focus on four pillars of development, one of which is the environmental pillar. He also added that the award was given to the Askrindo Mangrove Park Conservation program located in Sekubang Village, West Kalimantan.
“We are grateful for the great appreciation given to Askrindo, with this award it is very important for our stakeholders to know. Askrindo since 2017, has focused on helping the community in Sengkubang Village to conserve mangrove forests whose goals are for the sustainability of the Sengkubang Village community. In addition to the development pillar, the development of coastal areas is closely related to the 14th goal of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG’s), namely the conservation and sustainable use of marine, oceanic and maritime resources for sustainable development,” said Priyastomo.
The Askrindo Mangrove Park Conservation Program Askrindo has been implemented since 2017 focusing on nurseries and replanting of mangroves (rhizopora sp) for the area inside the stacked stone and outside the stacked stone.With a fairly good success rate of mangrove planting, from 2020 to 2021 improvements have been made to aspects of supporting facilities and infrastructure to support Askrindo Mangrove Ecotourism. He added that the achievement of this award will make Askrindo continue to be motivated again to care for the surrounding environment.
“We will not be satisfied until here, Askrindo will try to maintain what has been achieved and will continue to increase the benefits of the TJSL program to the beneficiaries,” added Priyastomo. (AHM)
