Anton Permana together with a businessman with the initials HT, departed for Singapore using the Majestic Ferry from the Batam Center Ferry Terminal at 17.30 WIB. Arrive at Singapore Harbor Front port at 19.30 Singapore Time.Arriving at the immigration desk when scanning passports, the Singapore Immigration officer (Female) immediately asked AP to join the Singapore Police officers to the office next to the migration desk.
For about 2 hours, the AP was asked a lot of things, checked his bag, took his ID card, including the ID Card of the journalists of Forum Magazine. For them photos. Likewise, the HP Iphone AP is requested, which they then take and check together all the contents of the photo gallery including IG. There was tension, because I (AP) refused to give me the HP password.
The list of questions asked by Migration, the Police, is: Where are you going? What’s the matter? How much money do you bring? Go with whom? Where do you work? What is the name of the company in Singapore? Which hotel to stay at? How long in Singapore? (All in English)I answer all according to facts. That I went with the boss who is also my brother. There is a meeting tomorrow at 11.00 with Mr. Chin regarding Green Energy investment. Company name in Singapore Ocean Energy Pte. LTD. I have lived in Batam for 22 years and have gone back and forth to Singapore dozens of times, and changed my passport five times. Only now have I been treated this way.
Then I also gave the hotel a place to stay, namely at Rockford Hotel Sentosa Resort. Complete with proof of hotel register. In fact, I also explained that I came to Singapore for the benefit of Singaporeans who wanted to invest in my boss’s land in Batam regarding Green Energy.They also asked for a press ID card, which I always carry with me. This is related to my case in Indonesia, which has been sentenced for 10 months. Then I explained about my legal case related to my profession as a writer and observer.
Then they took fingerprints, took eye scans, measured height, took photos, and asked how much money they brought. Yes, I answered, I didn’t bring much cash because I was with the boss who paid for it.It turned out that after that I was told to buy a ticket back to Batam. And take the last ferry Majestik back to Batam at exactly 22.30 Singapore Time.Thank God I arrived back in Batam, at 22.30 WIB at the Batam Center Ferry Terminal.
